Kenya traditionally produces the rewoned “Kenyan beans” that is in high demand in UK, France, Germany and the Scandinavian countries. Hitherto known as French beans, the Kenya bean variety, include extra fine, the fine and bobby. The yellow bean is gaining currency as a nutritious variety. Other products shipped by Hillside are mangetouts (snow peas), sugar snaps and baby corn that bloom in the cooler regions. Satisfying the customers through a backward integrated program where we work with small producers is a strategy that enables us meets required orders all year round. Other products that we deal with include mangoes, passion and avocado which are either airlifted or shipped in containers. We also export fresh pineapples that are grown all year round.
